How to Help
WHAT IT COSTS
The Dobbyn Foundation maintains partnerships with several different local schools and organizations in East Africa. School fees range dramatically for secondary schools in East Africa due to issues of location, infrastructure, teaching, population, resources, funding, etc. Due to the above factors there is no exact dollar figure for school fees, however, the approximate costs of school fees per child are the following:
- School Fees = $600 to $750 USD per year
- School Uniforms = $40 to $60 USD per year
- Books and Supplies = $50 to $100 USD per year
We anticipate the annual costs to be approximately $750 per student. Since the Dobbyn Foundation makes a commitment of six (6) years of secondary education, the cost of one (1) child for 6 years of secondary school is $4500 USD.
